Siding In Kelowna.

New siding does more than change how your home looks. It protects the structure underneath from moisture, wind and the freeze-thaw cycles that come with Okanagan winters.

What We Do

We supply and install vinyl, fibre cement and steel siding, with proper house wrap and flashing at every window, door and corner to keep water out. Every siding install includes a rainscreen.

Siding Options

Starting rates per square foot for material and installation. Your final quote depends on your home's size, wall complexity, material selection and any repair work needed underneath.

Vinyl siding installed on a Kelowna home

Vinyl Siding

Starts at $11.00 / sq ft

Vinyl siding is one of the most cost effective ways to update your home's exterior. It is lightweight, quick to install, and available in a wide range of colours and profiles, giving you a clean, low maintenance exterior.

James Hardie fibre cement board and batten siding

James Hardie Fibre Cement

Starts at $13.75 / sq ft

James Hardie fibre cement is made of Portland cement, sand, water and cellulose fibres. James Hardie says it will not ignite from direct flame or add fuel to a fire, and that it is made to withstand moisture and rot. Available in a range of textures from smooth to natural wood grain, it is a strong choice for homeowners who want a premium exterior.

Cedar shingle siding

Cedar Siding

Starts at $16.00 / sq ft

Cedar siding brings natural warmth and character that is hard to replicate with any manufactured product. It can be stained in a variety of tones to match your home's style. It does require periodic sealing or staining, but for homeowners who want an authentic, timeless look, cedar is hard to beat.

Aluminum siding in a wood grain finish

Aluminum Siding

Starts at $25.00 / sq ft

Aluminum siding offers protection with very little upkeep. FireSmart BC lists metal siding among the materials with superior fire resistance. It does not rot, and maintenance is usually limited to occasional cleaning.

Every Siding Install Includes A Rainscreen

A rainscreen creates a small ventilated air gap between the siding and the wall behind it. Water that gets past the cladding drains out instead of sitting against your sheathing, and air moving through the cavity lets the wall dry. The result is a wall that breathes, stays dry, and resists the rot, mould and premature paint or siding failure that trapped moisture causes. It is the single best upgrade you can make to protect your home's structure, and we install it behind every siding application we do.

Siding And Wildfire

FireSmart BC says stucco, metal siding, brick, concrete and fibre cement offer superior fire resistance, while untreated wood and vinyl siding offer very little protection against wildfire. Vinyl can melt when exposed to high heat. Read more in our post on non-combustible materials in the Okanagan.

Keeping Siding In Good Shape

Sun and weather wear on every siding material in different ways. Our post on sun damage to roofs and siding covers what to look for on cedar and vinyl, and the maintenance that helps.
